So far from home

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

My heart, it feels so far from home, now I know how yours must feel. for You came into my life, but I fear that you won't stay, so how can my heart love you, if it believes you'll go away, but it doesn't seem to stop it, It wants to love you anyway, and you'll take with you a big old piece, and leave such a gapping hole, how could I set myself up like this, that much I just don't know The pain I've grown to know to well, never seems to let me go. These are the things I fear so much, the uncertainty and doubts So hold me in your arms, and cast these demons out yes, kiss away my fears, and chase away my doubts, if you can, if you will, if you should. I dream of forever, but sometimes is seems like such an impossible dream. Written July 8th, 2001 © on Dec 08 2001 03:42 AM PST   0 • 10
