Steal her heart

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I'm sorry my friend, for I have wronged you, I tried to steal her heart away, I cannot say, I didn't know better, and lie to you that way. I believe you were close to losing her, I could see it in her eyes, but I tried to talk her into giving you just that one more try. I told her if it didn't work, and she had to get away, I'd hold her in my arms, and take her pain away. So I sent her on her way back to you, as slightly I did pray, that it could all be worked out, and you two could find a way. But I must be honest with you, if you two didn't find that way, to find the things that you once had, I'd give them to her in every way. So, yes, I know that I have wrong you, and of this I am ashamed, but she's so sweet and beautiful, to me , how could you blame. ~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~ better written with my tears than yours,  at least for you, that is, my friend.
