The Bluest Eyes I've Ever Seen

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

They came up to me, said "hello, come with us. We have someone we want you to meet", so follow I did, and there she stood, spirit aglow, radiant hair of gold, flowing down, sprinkled with sparkling dust from heaven above. And before I even realized what I was doing, I took her hand and dropped to one knee, as that hand, I gently kissed. Someone I should meet, fate said so. Someone I should get to know, my heart told me so, should I be so lucky. So there I was, staring into the biggest bluest eyes I'd ever know. They were bluer that the bluest skies on the sunniest of days. Totally captivated by these heavenly pools of blue, hanging on every word that came from her angelic voice and we talked, and we shared, and we learn of each one the other, and I'm not sure, but I think I caught a glimpse of her soul a time or two, as she did mine. Surely I was under her spell as I stared into those bluest of eyes, praying the night would never end, but end it did, and with that end came a new day and another chance, another chance to chase my dream. Dreaming of my angel. I know she's out there some where and could this be my time? could I be so blessed? I just can't get her out of my mind day and night, night and day till we meet again, and once more I gaze into those eyes so blue. ~~~~~~ Thank you, heaven above.
