the happiest man on earth

By Richard J Sereday Jr

I've been told that I look like I must be, the happiest man on earth. Everyone wants to be just like me, trouble and worry free bliss, is how I am often seen. Biggest smile from ear to ear, fire in my eyes, head held high, how is it this can be. Do I hide it all that well, so this world will never know the tears in my heart. On one of my worst days ever, in one of my worst months, a friend came up to me and said, "How do you do it? Such beautiful Smile. You always seem to be so so happy. You must not have one care in the world." If they only knew how I was drying inside, drowning in my own hopeless sea of tears as the pain, it flowed in gushs. Loneliness alone, no one to call my own, A parade of heartaches from my past mounting one by one, endlessly, and will I have my day, will it ever come, or is this what my future holds in store from now until my time, it is no more?
