The Need
Since the beginning of time all of man kind has had a need. A need for companionship. A need to share lives experiences with someone. This makes life so much more meaningful, so much more fulfilling. It is a dream of everyone's to meet that special someone that will give their life new meaning. Some will wait a lifetime for their special someone to arrive, their dreams never being realized. Some understand that there is not any, "one" special someone for them. It will be that someone that they make special. Every human being is a unique individual, with a unique set of experiences. These experiences along with their set of values determine who they are. Every human being has unique things of great value to offer to the world. Many will not be interested in what we have to offer, but there are those that will be. We will not be interested in the offerings of all, but somewhere there is someone that can fulfill our needs as we fulfill theirs. This is the beauty of life. Finding that "someone made special" It's what lives is all about. The joining of two hearts and souls. The fire of love blazing brightly. The creation of new life, born of that fire. The treasures of love, family, and child. Sometimes we forget that it is up to us to keep the fire burning. We must constantly place logs onto the fire so the flames will continue to burn brightly, warming our hearts, for should the flames ever die down, oh, how cold we would be. And heaven forbid, should the flames ever be extinguished our hearts would surely freeze to death. And with a frozen dead heart our lives would be an empty shells, our existence would be meaningless. Some believe that the flames should maintain themselves. This is just not true. As with all things of value, work and sacrifice are at times required to maintain them. How many will forget these simple facts, and what price must they pay? Can a frozen, dead heart be revived and, brought back to life? I have no choice but to try, for my heart needs to feel "Love" once again. I will not win if I quit, and I will not quit till I win, fulfilling my need once again.
