The River

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I am the river, mighty is my flow over these banks to you. Reach to me with open arms, as my current sweeps you away, to a better place of happiness and joy, love and bliss. Feel my power as I churn and whirl about you. As my vortex sucks you in, your moisture mingles with mine. Gently caressing your body, my flow brushes past your soul. Every crevasse, every curve, I grow to know from first to last as we meld together again and again, no beginning and no end always and forever.
