Touched

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

You have touched my heart, you have touched my soul, in a way I feared they would never again be touched. You came to me in need, angel on broken wing. In need of replenishment, to believe once again in the dream you feared was lost. But is it, I ask of you? Have you reached far enough? Have you reached deeply enough? Can it be found again, for truly it is worthy of search, if it is still there for you to hold. So I was the angel sent to you, to help you see your light, that calls you from afar, from an all too distant past. I pray that I could get you there, though far away from me, I fear, as one more dream I dreamt, the time it comes from which to wake. So I type these word as my heart weeps for this dream I'll never live, but overcome with joy I am, for the honor and the chance, knowing of you, but to hold you in an instant, then send you on your way, broken wing amend, and away you do fly along with my dreams of you.
