Two souls, joined at the heart

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The song said: "Nobody gets too much heaven no more, it's as high as a mountain, and harder to climb" (The Bee Gee's) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You are of my rib, a part of me, heart and soul, and climbing that mountain so high, hand in hand, you and I, ... surely, we have reached heaven. The first of sleeping, side by side, you and I, to me, a thing of such great beauty. And waking to your dark haired beauty, and sweet, tender embrace, followed by another, and another, certainly the envy of any honeymooner. Although we are now apart, I feel that there is a part of you, deep within my heart, as there is a part of me, deep within your heart. Are these feelings true for you as well? Need I ask, or even ponder? I think not. Soon, will we rejoin, and rejoice in our love. Written October 16th, 1996 © on Oct 16 2001 01:14 AM PST   0 • 8
