unconditional

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I thought of you today, for it had been a while since we did last meet eye to eye, heart to heart, soul to soul, and from out of the blue, there stood you. A vision of beauty to once again behold. And I compared this vision I saw with the one in my heart where it lives so deep, and they were one in the same. And I then realized that I could not love you more, but with ever meeting of you, each time more. And you asked of me, “will you treat me badly as I do return your way?” and I wondered how you could not know of how I feel for you, in this unconditional love.
