Why is it?

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Why is it that people seem to want to do so much for me? Why is it that people seem to want give so much to me? Is it because I do so much for them? Is it because I give so much to them? And Why is it that people seem to want to be with me and be my friend? Why is it that people seem to love me so much, so unconditionally? Is it because I give them my friendship so freely, so openly and so honestly? Is it because there is love in my heart for each and every one of my fellow humans being human? We are all in this together, we all have wants and needs, desires and dreams. We are all a part of something so much bigger that one alone, and who wants to be alone, I ask of you? No one is the answer that I believe to be true. Sometimes I feel so charmed, like the good karma that I have earned, in my actions and deeds as I live my life is flowing by the gallons, to me and for me. Or could it just be Luck? Maybe that is it, for I have much Luck in my life. My cup runneth over time and again, and I never fear problems, because they always seem to work themselves out to the best outcome I could ever hope for. OK, so that's it, it is the Luck thing, I'm sure now! LUCK = (Laboring under the correct knowledge) Written January 5th, 2002 © on Jan 05 2002 05:50 AM PST   0 • 10
