With poetic mind

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

With poetic mind I do live, if only for a moment in this present time. With poetic mind I do dream of what our future just might bring, as visions of it flash before my eyes. With poetic mind the past I do recall and in it lessons learned and battles and prizes lost and won. With poetic mind my hands do feel and extract the beauty sometimes unseen by less inspired eyes. With poetic mind my heart does love all that can be loved as my power overwhelms. With poetic mind my tears do flow for the sadness of our world, surrounded as we are. A simpler life could be had without poetic mind, but the rainbows beauty to me would never be revealed. So bear this cross, I do with pride, it’s something that I can not hide.
