Silent Betrayal
By rogue24
I walk down these long halls Every day of my life As the people pass by I feel more empty and alone But as you approach A smile begins Some of my few escapes Come from crying with you Smoking yet another cigrette As we gaze at the stars But today... Just like so many days before You walk right by And I keep all my anger in I hold back all my tears As I walk on Through these distant corridors And I'll continue to walk Right into the darkness Until you bring your tears to me Your pain and agony And I'll feel sorry for ever thinking That I felt you were betraying me You'll continue to walk by Perhaps a glance every now and then But I'll be here waiting When the world hurts you And I'll be here With my silent tears Of betrayalthis is a poem of betrayal *obviously* but its about a friend who you never hear from and you agonize over it and think they are betraying you but you forget all about it when they actually do call or talk to you.
