It’s been so many years Alone in bed Alone every day, every night And I’d gotten so used to it Never particularly comfortable But used to it, ‘til now Now I try to get back To that quiet frame of mind But it’s not working To say that he distracts me Is the understatement Of the year To say that I’ve Got a handle on this Would be a gross lie Things need to go forward – All the way forward And soon Or they need to stop Before this exquisite torture Does me in I’m a red-hot, magnetized, Molten mass right now Helpless ‘til he makes his move Written March 15th, 2002 © on Mar 15 2002 12:06 PM PST   0 • 16
