Testimony of the Senses

By sax angel

I stopped to question if God is real. My senses gave reply. Just use us now as God has planned and you will have your answer. God, the Creator, gave you us to tell of His existence. Consider, if you will, the testimony of the sight. There was no reason for Him to place the red upon the rose. Gaze again in awe at the beauty of the sunset. What need have you to see the light in a lover's eyes? No need except to catch a glimpse of the Father's love. Next, just pause to listen to what the ears do say. Stop and listen to the symphony of the babbling brook. You take for granted the mighty rumble of the heaven's thunder. Do you hear the joy of the children as the play? This is to remind you of the joy He has in you each day. Your sense of touch will guide you in your search for Him. Just feel the velvety smoothness of the petals of the rose. Remember the roughness of the sand as it squishes between your toes. Can you feel the brush of the wind as it plays against your cheek? It is merely the soft caress of the Father's kiss. Then the taste buds stepped to the front and said "Give us the stand. What purpose do we serve?  For nourishment we're not needed. Why did God make the lemon sour or oranges tangy and tart? The sweetness of the honey is just a hint of the sweetness of His love." Lest we forget, now let the nose testify. Have you ever wondered why the flowers smell so sweet or considered the aroma of the new mown grass? Stop and smell the fragrance of the cleansing rain. It is the scent of the Lord as He offers to make you clean again. The world could still exist and function without any of the beauty. We do not need all of the variety and the things we have been given. So, the next time you stop to question why just let your senses testify.Just let the world around you prove God's existence.
