expectations
By scarlas29
expectations in life- the things they want you to be. the lies to tell, the rules to break. remember the rebellions- the silent oaths you take. all those secrets- you can't trash, or your ass could be grass. remember the silliness- your youth, the perfect innocence you once had. then abused in your life- with infatuations and confrontation, remember the days... of when, when you couldn't choose- your choice was all made; now those choices get tough- you may kneel and cry. expectations to you- what to do before you die, the days of purity leap by. adolescence at full force- it leaps off a page. into your face- comes virginity and pride, words now make sense. and your heart breaks with doubt, the confusions overbearing. oh to hide from thee! expectations of one- none you see, could you be? worthless or ordinary, my god could this be? you set the goals- accomplishment and peace. throughout one's life- expectations won't cease, quite prevailent they'll be. oh you live- your life you like, with out the sin. you like goodness- and pray hard from with in, release my soul; help me be good. let me expect heaven- heaven to welcome me, cos it's the place i want my heart to be.
