Alone

By shadows of saturn

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

You can never know   when the sky will fall   Everyone you've ever known   wrenched from you   then you would be truly alone.   Would life be real   or a horrible labyrinth   You would have the world to   yourself:all the riches and treasures   But would it be worth it   if there was no one to share it with?   You would be stranded on a solitary island, but this one there   is no escape   for nothing in the world   is worth the companionship   of a true friend Written December 5th, 2001 © on Dec 05 2001 08:24 AM PST   10 • 0 • 1
