Chasing the Dragonfly

By shadows of saturn

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

why does it seem to see a golden blue dragonfly just a daylight dream, fluttering in the distance? hazy midsummer eyes watching the world float by never remembering the liars and sinners everything is just a pitiful dream of chasing the Dragonfly stuck in the rainbows of icebergs the Dragonfly dies- didn't you realize? whispering in your ear Dragonflies transforming into the truth now dying in your hand watching you - through hazy midsummer eyes drowning in your lies - seeing how winter midnight really can kill the innocence of a young Dragonfly Written December 28th, 2001 © on Dec 28 2001 03:18 PM PST   0 • 1
