Dead Parade
I'm stuck in this dead parade watching trasparent souls pay their dues; signing papers but why are they just random words they must be the bitter last thoughts ot the forsaken floating elephants and ghoulish clowns carry me away didnt you hear they murmer all thats good is gone sudden my gravestone is staring up at me no birds can sing and no sun shines hungry vultures sit in the trees and I watch for a mourner or two as they bury me stabbing their shovels into the ground but really stabbing me why is no one sad? no one placing black and white photos of loved ones in my stiff hands or placing little frozen flowers relising that I will be far colder? a specter put a hand on my shoulder and whispers all thats good is dead and nobody loves you when you're gone Written January 2nd, 2002 © on Jan 02 2002 01:22 PM PST 0 • 1
