God's World

By Shane

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Just 'cos I ain't pretty don't mean I can't feel When I feel shitty I’m not behind the wheel The world she lied, who’s god now? Lost my first son at the age of five Run down by a neo nazi not fit to drive The world she lied, who’s god now? Your god, he took my sight But I can still see the lies he told me The world she lied, who’s god now? They say I’m blind, but the black man he’s so kind to me Because of your creation, that man he’s ashamed to be The world she lied, who’s god now? Mothers they’re weeping, And their children, they cry to sleep The world she lied, who’s god now? Written February 28th, 2002 © on Mar 05 2002 12:32 AM PST   10 • 0
