God damn that child, it ain’t what it used to be God damn that child, keeps talking back to me I raised you, I fed you, I loved you But what does all that mean anyway? God damn that child, It took my youth from Left only pride, to take away, it gave away my life The future ain’t what it used to be, You ain’t gonna be happy till I’m underground Feel it grow, watch him explode In a fiery burst of rage, the targets set on parenthood God damn that child, life was a gift from me But the child threw it all away God damn that child, He took youth from me God damn it child, Old and alone I lay Written March 4th, 2002 © on Mar 04 2002 03:41 AM PST   10 • 0
