The Fall
By Shashama
Stumbling throughout the woods at night Its to dark to see where I am going Branches scratch and bugs bite I am bleeding, can you see me? Trip and fall, stub my toe Over something heavy I lay there for minutes, maybe hours Waiting for some light But there is not light, not anywhere around So I lay there, where I fell Sitting up, I look around What was it that I tripped over? A branch? A root? A rock? It seems to be glowing from the inside Its not a rock or root or branch Its far to big for that Its too soft too... But its glowing, I can see it It is a body, lying there, dead... I want to look away, but I can't Leaning closer, I inspect the features A girl, a human girl A little closer I get to her And I can see her She is me And the last thing I hear is my screamScary thoughts....
