My Light
Like a distant light in the dark I see you Your hands reaching out to me I try to grasp them But all I catch is the cold air And before I know I'm standing alone Surrounded by a fear that whispers my name A fear like no other My heart crumbles and breaks Crying it's bittersweet symphony of longing Of being alone Alone and cold Wanting to feel the passion of my destined love I call to you but no words are heard And before I know it Like a flickering flame against the wind You disappear And my world turns black No beautiful light cascading a path for me And my fear takes hold of me.
