As They Were Then
By sidewinder
I can remember as a child walking through the garden, Smelling the vegetables, Touching life as it is, Hand in hand with my grandfather with large smile, Both of us telling fish stories, Him showing me where the best place were for the worms, And us planning for tomorrows fishing trip, Season to season early in the summer, He always made time for me even when sometimes I took things for granted, I wish things were as simple now as they were then, Maybe one day I can finally return the favor with my own grandchildren.
