Faded Dreams
By sidewinder
Faded dreams have taken the best part of my heart, Things aren't what they used to be since you left me, Why did you have to go? The smile on my face has gone to tears and the pain lives on, I try so hard to forget all the mistakes, I have made to escape the memories that left shadows in my mind, each time I see your face etched by those rhythms varied behind a syncopated heartbeat I remember, Will your touch be forgotten only... When I reach for you? Will the memories be forgotten only until I dream of you? I can still see your face when I close my eyes, My heart aches, The pain won't subside, The visions still break me, And I smile no more these days, so will the silence be met only by the shadow of your memory?
