I Ask The Question
By sidewinder
The triangle in the sky, the clouds upon high, The love that draws nigh are apart of me, Still... I ask the question... Why? The feeling inside, the nightmares in the night, The cold sweat that drowns my eyes, The tears that make me cry are apart of me, Still... I ask the question... Why? Things that make me cold, The pain inside that makes me old, The future never foretold, The heroes in stories that were told are apart of me, Still... I ask the question.. Why? So many memories are in my mind, The heartaches that I left behind, Those searching moments that are hard to find are apart of me, Still... I ask the question... Why? Yes why? Well, I don't know, Maybe... I'll never be told. Sept. 8, 1984 Written January 24th, 2002 © on Jan 24 2002 07:32 AM PST, Billy E. Whitehorn 18 • other
