I Remember
By sidewinder
I remember the smile on your face, The strength in your eyes, The love in your heart, The patience in your hands, the understanding in your mind, For you were always there for me, And you taught me that family matters, And when times were bad it's the family that bonds together, For no matter what happens is we remember this secret life can always hold a joy not yet stolen by the summer, even though a shadow can slip through it's the sunshine revealed only by the truth kept by your memory, This is what I hold most dearly in a celebration of your life. Dec. 26, 1999I wrote this in remembrance of My Grandmother Layton. May she always hold peace. Written December 28th, 2001 © on Jun 09 2002 12:55 PM PST, Billy E. Whitehorn 18 • 0 • 12
