In A Quiet Anger
By sidewinder
There is a quiet anger here touched in a resolve that those who deal in terror will not be untouched, We did not ask for this war, But the danger here will not go unanswered, Hear our pain! Hear our cries! For those who have died will be avenged! You have touched a quiet rage, In this... You have united a nation, You thought we were weak, You thought we were asleep, But even the meek have fangs to defend itself, There are you who think that we are imperialistic, We sit fat on our own laurels, We do not care for those who sit in poverty, that will change, But in that change, You must be willing to change yourselves, We cannot help those who will not help themselves, When you embrace the oppressor you become the oppressed yourselves, Yes... your people are hungry, Yes... your people are uneducated, But when you sit in judgment and become extremists, Then it's you who suffer, Think about this... We who have freedom can touch the world all over, But you have to free yourselves, We can't do that for you, We offer a helping hand, But don't bite the hand that feeds you, Give us a chance, Don't turn your back, What we offer is in kindness and in love, Instead... it's you who hurt our people.
