In Freedom
By sidewinder
To touch within our hearts those who lost their lives, In freedom we who live it, Stand proud, We must stand and honor that eagle even though tears sometimes flow, Some tatter and blame this most understanding lady, Who protects what most take for granted, Why? Must it be that horror is felt before we stand united? Brave when we seek that cherishment felt in our need, And in that need we must not be blind, For if we do so then we have lost what we hold so precious, Let's guide this hostile world by example, Never forgetting what we have spent years striving for, Let's reach out hand in hand, Hold fast in our beliefs, Forever keep that dream a reality, Seeking a truth some have forgotten.
