In My Eyes
By sidewinder
As a child I saw things with a vivid imagination, Every crook and cranny held adventure and every tree, ditch and attic became a hide away, So it was a wonder when I proceeded to make my way up our house with screwdriver and hammer in hand, And backing me up was my brother, Oh up there seemed grand! And just as a precaution I'd have an escape route right through another room, Only there was one way in, Still... That's alright! I'll fix that! Bam!, Bam!, Bam ! Now I no longer have that to worry about, Or do I ? For here comes my Mom and Dad, And I can see the anger in their eyes, What am I to do? I'm only six, Not old enough to understand the how's and why's, Still... I survived, Being myself and looking at the world through a child's eyes. March 20, 1985And yes... this is a true story of me growing up. and I got into alot of trouble then. Aw well... you grow up... sometimes !
