Lingering Glances
By sidewinder
Brought together by fate, Torn apart by jealously, Once united by friendship, Torn apart by apathy, A sense still lingers about but remains silenced, Souls have united in a sense unknown. Am I the one that is meant for you or am I just another spirit that is forgotten? Why have you forgotten those dreams that we once shared? Tears follow and rain falls, Poetic in a tragic sense, Sheltered in withering hope, Rustic in verse, Echoed in time. Lingering glances have been sought and mysteries yet remain, Only time will tell of what lies ahead. May 4, 1999 By: B.E. Whitehorn & Christina M.
