One Silent Night
By sidewinder
One silent night you dropped by, We talked for a while catching up on conversations we thought we had lost in the silence, I was so excited about what I was involved in, I had to tell you all the details about the projects I had in mind, And in your kindness you simply listened, Later when we were both relaxed, conversation turned to intimacy, Somehow we both needed it and sanctified the loneliness shared in our hearts, We savored the warmth in our touch and even though we hadn't planned it that way our bodies found a way to complete each other, Later we parted company, You had to work the next day, Though I did ask you to stay, And you smiled with a reply... I'll see you soon! And now I'm sitting here anxiously awaiting your next visit, Writing these memories that I collect, Hoping for more than what I should expect, Still.. It's true what they say, Absence does make the heart grow fonder. March 28, 2002Written March 30th, 2002 © on Mar 30 2002 07:21 AM PST, Billy E. Whitehorn personal • love
