Questions Of The Soul
By sidewinder
The dark questions of the soul, What is love? Is it there to hurt? Or is it there to make you weak? Or can it be used as a weapon of mass destruction? A bit of pleasure & pain to touch those edges wherein you walk a fine line between the shadow and the light, The question is... What is the difference? The difference is... there is no love, Here there is no pain, But what is left... is the honor, And the confusion of what people have tonight won, resulting sometimes in chaos, But the trick is finding a balance, For the soul touches in an echo behind a shadow, Never letting go of the thought that life is always a lesson to touch within a circle of time, What is left? The chaos of life? The love of life? Or the pain of what you learned in life? Without pain... There is no growth, And there is always change, For within change pain exists, But pain is also a matter of perspective, If you took a look deep in your soul, You would find that no emotions exist, And what you find in your soul wouldn't be what you have been taught, But what you believe, So the real question is what is in your soul? Yet the question lingers... forever in your mind, Somehow it drives you crazy, Because it's a contradiction within itself, It's like looking in a reflection in a mirror, The more you look into it, The more images you find.
