There Are Ties That Bind
By sidewinder
To touch within a joy, Those revelations that we make, Without even thinking about it, I remember a smile on your face, The warmth of your voice within the time that we spent together, Your laughter and kindness that a heart could share, Sometimes the bonds that we seek hides before our own eyes, In our own way we accept each other, But deny it if anyone asks, Those tapestries of souls hold the connection that we have, It matters not that we don't always agree, For the past must be put in the past and life must go on, Still... know this, I do care and I do listen if given the chance, My heart will always be at home, And even though things do sometimes go astray there are ties that bind.
