Those Roads
By sidewinder
Sensibility and responsibility are words he thought I should find, Imagination and freedom was the choice I had taken, It wasn't that I didn't care, But somewhere down the road of life we both had taken a different turn, Elegant and polished in our own expertise, I'm proud of my father and what he has accomplished in his lifetime, I just want my own dues or a chance for my victories, A pleasure in our own making, Regardless of who's right or wrong, And when my son is born, I hope.... I have the faith and the wisdom to give him the freedom to make his own mistakes and choices, Even though it might be painful for me to see.
