To Those Who Wrote An Ode To Me
By sidewinder
To those who wrote an ode to me: What are we searching for? it's the constant in this world where sometimes all we need is a friend, Those pleasures from the heart, Yet... I know you read my words, But do you take time to understand them? For thy probing into my soul raises some unanswered questions, And yet those who do celebrate only in a smile, I know... You think What does this poet know, that I don't know? And I say... read between the lines, Maybe you'll find an answer to those unanswered questions, And though we meet face to face we can have a laugh just between us, For this world needs more friends, Can we be just that?
