To Touch Upon The Stars

By sidewinder

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

It's been said to touch upon the stars & beyond, What then? Who knows? Ah.... But the adventure may be grand! What dangers lurk unbeknownst to all, That reach of imagination stirs within us, Keeps us... going on, Our curiosity may be the death of us yet, But to us... it matters not, Somehow it keeps us driven, Discoveries that may be discovered, What then? Sailing into the vast cosmos, Exploring bizarre new worlds, Such beauty never seen by mankind, With risks just as great as the reward, Would we dare to leave our comfort zone? To possibly meet new life forms, far above even our own golden sun? With our minds... we do wonders, But how? With knowledge? With creativity, Of our unlimited ever exceeding imaginations? Or possibly if we... ride the comet within dreams, We can then touch upon a star. March 11, 2002 By: B.E.
