Twilight Touches
By sidewinder
Twilight touches in those echoes revealed wherein the horizon serenades and in the reflection I can see a smile only met in laughter, there was once a story that reminds me of you of a faerie so fair, And filled with thoughts of morning dew, There is no telling where she flew, or if she'll be back to renew the hope that I lack, When I see that we'll never be together alone under the stars, Our love so close, I can hear your voice, It's almost like a whisper in the wind, Yet the moments that you're gone, I miss the touch of your heartbeat, A completion of two souls held in the horizon, When together in this faerie gaze I melt, But with you in my heart is felt more full than the warmest summer rain, My soul is filled with endless gratitude just to be with you again, So let's meet together, Share this precious time hour by hour, Watch the sun rise early in the morning and find a way to bright our heart together, A poets heart is filled with happy endings of what could be, But I know you'll never love me that way, So I write the words and tell stories that I can't say, On this paper I have your favor and live in your glory, But it ends up just a fantasy story, So somehow I'll have to to be satisfied with only your company and enjoy life moment by moment, Touch those rainbows and share the new dawn.
