Wait And See
By sidewinder
Cascading crusades, Banners waving, Protesters protesting things they're not sure of, People speaking their minds when they should be listening instead, Yet... Who understands the politics that we have? Yes... I know... I know.... Everyone has an opinion, But does it matter? Some say .... Yes... it does! Some say.... No! Recently we had an election, And we're still waiting for a president, They tell us that the electoral vote elects him, But what they don't understand is this, When a poll is taken to find out how much population exists that will tell our politician who counts, Yet the popular vote does matter, One vote can't change things, But together if we all stick together we can change the world, When one doesn't vote then you're giving the rich man the power to do what he wants, Why? If you're not satisfied with things as they are then change them, And have the patience to wait for change, It might not happen in the short run, But it'll happen in the long run, Wait and see!Written January 14th, 2002 © on Jan 14 2002 08:01 AM PST, Billy E.
