Won't The Hate Ever Stop?
By sidewinder
Won't the hate ever stop? For years the message slowly got through, Isn't it finally clear? First it was the color of your skin, Next it was the faith that you followed, On & on it goes, Didn't the Civil war & World War II teach anyone anything? Our children was learning to accept people for who they are, Regardless of their differences, Now hate reveals itself, Those that can't accept us try to kill us, Poison us, Destroy our way of life, And our dregs do the same to our own Muslim people, I was told that their name meant peace, Now I'm not saying turn the other check, Sometimes justice must be served, Like a cold iron fist, But it's wrong to punish those who like us want nothing but to live their lives, Don't we have enough bigotry to last a lifetime? Let's get a clue, To hurt our own people doesn't make any sense, Let our anger abide & find those who need to be found, Seek truth & show that as Americans, We stand united, Not torn as those who would believe that we are.
