A Simple Question for you.
In my health class on Friday our teacher did something that we thought stupid at the time. She dressed up as a fairy, and clamed to be our fairy godmother. She said that she could grant three wishes from each person. We wrote down what we would wish for. Naturally, most peoples consisted of "I want to be the richest person on earth" and "I want to rule the world", I mean we are 14, that is what we think of most of the time. But on my list there was "World Peace", "Be a better person (all around)", and one thing for me, "More talents". We each shared one. And mine was world peace. Then she told us that we all had a *terminal disease* and that we had two weeks to two months to live. She asked how many of the things on the board were still good to wish for, and most of them came right down. The lesson behind that was if we had wished for good health, we would not have the disease that was killing us. But my statement was, if all it took for world peace was my death, I would do it. I was talking to a friend, and we got on that subject, and she said that no, she would not die for world peace, she would not be there to enjoy it. My question to you is, *If it took only your death* to bring about world peace, would you give up your life. Or would you be like my friend and not do it? *you are not the bringer of war and hatred, so that is not the reason for your death*im sorry it took me so long to ask such a short question, but i think that you needed some back ground for that. And im sorry, I just want you opinion. Written January 26th, 2002 © on Jan 26 2002 01:35 PM PST 18 • 0 • 10
