~Sent From Heaven Above~
By Silver Angel
**A Christmas Story** Traveling from inn to inn Praying one would let them within To their dismay and all for not A broken down stable was all they got She looked to him with tears in her eyes Knowing he could not answer her questions of whys It killed him seeing her cry So he held her close till all her tears ran dry When the pains started, she barely made a sound He stood looking in awe, at the love he had found They cared not about the bright shining star Birthing the babe was more important by far Soon her low cries came to an end Joseph, on his knee's he did bend No babe more perfect had ever been born He gently wrapped the "King" in cloth he had torn With love in both his eyes and his heart He held his Mary and vowed never to part So in love with each other and the new babe They never notice the visitors that came Patiently they waited till each guest was gone Caring nothing for the gifts they had brung Wanting only to be left alone To hold each other close and care for their son Joseph took Mary's hand in his Promised to make a good life for her and for him Together they'll live life in the presence of love With the gift God had sent from heaven above Written December 12th, 2001 © on Dec 11 2001 11:06 PM PST 0 • 8
