Last Spring
By silver
I run in a field, Covered in tall grass. There are other people too, We run until we are breathless, And fall in a pile. Everyone is laughing, Everyone can smile. They have that light in their eyes, I think I do too... For that second we were alive, And so were you. If only they could see us laughing, And that everytime someone falls, I hug them before, Pulling them back up... We danced forever. Love you tender love you strong, It only takes a moment of life, To right what we all made wrong. Step back and be free, Forget who you are, Life is not worth living, If your dreams will never take you far. That day in the field, It was all in my mind, But I remember every detail, Like a photo album that you long to find. Every picture memorized, You want to share it with other others, But the pictures to them are faded, Just old like you with dust. So the old photo album sits, Like dreams of gold just starting to rust. Tomorrow I will run, I don't care who is there, I only want to live that moment... Once to dull my hearts fear. Will anyone ever realize, How beautiful we are? Written January 28th, 2002 © on Jan 29 2002 09:31 AM PST 0 • 10
