Absence
By silverael
oh love, oh love, i weep for your passing, the loss i feel so deeply in my soul, like waves upon the shore ever crashing, whose pain at breaking forever must grow; and as each tear slowly slips to the ground, makes a solemn path to join with the sea, your voice taunts, echoes with barely a sound, reminding of a time when it spoke to me, and whispered softly of devotion true; but now it has taken its warmth afar, away from the heart and the love it knew -- i can do but dream on a single star, of a fire burned to ashes and left, as only an ember, cold and bereft.
