Shadow

By silverael

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Like a shadow You were here You were here and touched my face. You felt my tears and kissed my lips, then you were gone ever so swiftly gone gone without a trace. I looked for you I cried your name I cried your name into the darkest nights. I waited here and dreamt your dreams, but you were gone ever so swiftly gone gone into the morning light. You never called You never spoke You never spoke never again spoke my name, but for in my mind where you ever remain though you are gone, ever so swiftly gone back from whence you came.
