Complete me
By Slicks78
I was but a child when I met you I did some stupid stuff, I was young I guess we all do... When every other layer fell away You were the one thing to stay You were there for the moments in between Those awkward phases that seemed then, to never end But you were still there... It was then I knew You were more than a friend Into a woman I've grown, my whole life I've shown you, Some parts not even My best friend knew, ever lasting You were there when the bad set in Stuck with me, through more than thick Much less than thin It was then I knew I truly love you More than words can express Sometimes I wonder if you feel more or less Than I feel, because you are too good to be real If I lost you, I would lose my heart Every part that has meaning... It is now I know, my feelings won't fade An old woman I want to grow with you A life I want to share with you Show you how much I care for you It is now, as I sit and struggle For the right words, when words seem Of little value I know, I love you, I need you You complete me.Ok, so maybe I do write poems.. I don't know. This is my first attempt at, and very well may be my last. Tell me what you think. Written January 12th, 2002 © on Jan 11 2002 06:13 PM PST, Sharon 18 • 0 • 8
