'Wonders of A Senior's Life'

WONDERS OF A SENIOR’S LIFE It’s seven AM, just barely light The mall is still closed for business But still people are arriving. How strange to see men walking in a mall Not being dropped there by spouses Caring ahnds or shopping for last minute gifts Women walking briskly, step by step, Swinging their arms in time But no answer do I hear, No beat of a drum to march by People of all ages, descriptions, are found within these walls New freinds are made, conversations abound It’s a large indoor mall Places to shop, explore, meet friends Crowded by day and night, bustling people stride Making their bodies ache with strength never known Hopes of healthy limbs and minds abide These are the joys of the mall-walker’s life.
