Lovely World

By Spoot

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The sun comes up, the world's awake, another day of blind, cruel hate, starving children careless mothers, inner rage directed at others, meaningless fighting where nobody cares, kindergarten classrooms where nobody shares, lots of violence not enough nurses, no kind words and too many curses, many enemies not a single ally, it's not a surprise that so many die. Bloodred sunset with defiant intensity, guns and blades in the hands of density, now a night with uncaring cold stars, innocent people behind chilled iron bars, needles and poisons in a young child's candy, even nuns on the streets keeping knives handy, broken furniture and heated words, arguments loud enough to chase off diseased birds, youthful hopes popped like bubbles, and people wonder why we have so many troubles.I changed it again, and it STILL seems unfinished.
