Only You

By Spoot

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Of all the loves I've ever lost, all of the catches I've ever tossed, all of the luck I've ever wasted, all of the fruit I've ever tasted, you're the one that I long for again, you're the one that I still call a friend, and you're the most inaccessable of them all, which makes all the harder my fall, the fall from happiness and love, and you're the one who started it with a shove, with your mood swings and jealousy, our break up should have set me free, but no, it hasn't - it's locked me away, in a body that longs to hear you say, with a warm voice and warmer heart, "It's only you I've ever wanted from the start."I miss Jeff.
