nineteen at last

By SubwayBoi

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

in only a few hours, i will enter another world. the world of adults, of nightclubs, of bars, of strip clubs, of legal cigarette smokers, and legal drinkers. i remember waiting anxiously for tomorrow, counting the days, hours, and minutes remaining, yearning to go out where everyone else seems to go with such ease. we all grow older the alternative is death, so I'll take wrinkles and false teeth any day. birthdays are like beers: the more you have, the better you look in only a few hours, i will enter another world.I turn 19 tomorrow woo hooooo!
