The Water Cycle
By SubwayBoi
When water flows in the great seas, Do drops distinguish themselves? "I'll be in Evian", says one innocent drop. "Snapple for me." another declares. "In a hot tub!" "Pepsi Cola!" "Hyrdoelectic powerplant movers!" How do you break it to the drops of water, Chosen at birth, perhaps, To fill the toilets. How do you tell a pure, clean, fresh drop of water, "You're going to have to be surrounded with shit."? Now what if you are that drop? Watching everyone around you move, learn, grow, change, Date, love, be loved, evolve, become more than they are; And you're still surrounded in shit. As the doomsday clock within you strikes eleven fifty-nine; As the strings of your heart tug in five opposing directions, And you can't even choose what colour socks to wear; As you dive into a sea of people who you cannot hope to understand; Remember: Drops of Evian, drops of Pepsi, and drops of toilet water, All came from the same place, And all go back there eventually.I was fucking depressed and tired as I wrote this, but basically I'm tired of being treated like (and feeling like) toilet water. Take your shit elsewhere! Written November 17th, 2001 © on Nov 17 2001 03:06 PM PST 0 • 1
